VS Code wins between those three. Not even close.
Notepad++ is great for quickly editing a file, but it's very limited in advanced code editing features.
Brackets never got its UI working well, at least on Windows, and it has lost basically all of its mindshare. Don't expect it to support any new tools.
VS Code has become the most used IDE/Editor in a very short time, because of its combination of features, expansion options, and support.
Easy win.
And ignore folks who use crap text editors. They don't even know what they don't know about real programming editors. Learning a modern editor like VS Code is a productivity multiplier.
I would go as far as to claim that no one who uses Notepad++ or, worse, something like the built-in editor in a file manager, could even navigate through a complex code a fifth of the speed I do, and the active coding assistance is worth from 2–10x in programming productivity.
